Dr. Abdulaziz Boker
Associate Professor and Consultant

Dr Abdulaziz Boker is an Associate Professor and Consultant, Department of Anesthesia and ICU and the Director of Clinical Skills and Simulation Center at the College of Medicine, King Abdulaziz University Hospital (KAUH). In April 2016, king Abdulaziz University clinical and Simulation Center was accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and surgeons of Canada, as the first accredited center outside Canada.
He is also the current Chairman of the Exam committee and past chairman of the Saudi Scientific Board of Anesthesia and Intensive Care at SCFHS. He obtained his medical college degree from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah with honors, he then obtained Royal College of Canada certification in anaesthesia and masters of medical education. Dr. Boker has active involvement in medical education at local, regional, national, and international levels. He is the first recipient of the "International Residency Educator of the Year (2014) Award" from the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC). In 2016, he was the first recipient of the "Regional Excellence in Simulation Award" from 3rd UAE simulation & 2nd SESAM MENA Regional conference.

Dr. Debra Nestel

Debra Nestel, PhD, CHSE-A, is Professor of Surgical Education, the University of Melbourne and Professor of Simulation Education in Healthcare, Monash University, Australia. Debra is Editor in Chief of Advances in Simulation (, the journal of the Society in Europe for Simulation Applied to Medicine (SESAM). She is program lead for the Masters of Surgical Education (Department of Surgery, University of Melbourne and Royal Australasian College of Surgeons). She is an honorary professorial fellow at Imperial College, London. Debra leads a national program for simulation educators – NHET-Sim ( and a state-based network in simulated patient methodology ( Debra has published over 140 peer-reviewed papers in health professions education, published an edited book on simulated patient methodology (2015), has edited a book on healthcare simulation to be published in 2016 and is now editing a book on surgical education for release in 2017.

Dr. Hani Lababidi
Senior Consultant in pulmonary and critical care medicine at King Fahad Medical City (KFMC) in Riyadh

He is an expert in medical simulation and he is currently the Director of The Center for Research, Education & Simulation Enhanced Training (CRESENT) at KFMC. Besides the various leadership positions, he chaired or participated in key hospital committees and functions. He has special expertise in hospital accreditation and information management.
Dr. Lababidi received his M.D from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon and then did his Internal Medicine, Pulmonary & Critical Care training in the USA. He holds American Board in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Abeer A Arab

Dr Arab is a Pediatric Anesthesiologist and Assistant Professor, King Abdulaziz University KAU, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Arab is the deputy director and administration Supervisor at the KAU-Clinical Skills and Simulation Center. Being a simulation educator, she has helped integrating different simulation methods into the undergraduate curricula of Anesthesia, Critical Care, Obstetrics, and Pediatrics. She is the chair of the Simulation taskforce at the Saudi Board of Anesthesiology to integrate simulation into postgraduate curricula and certification process. She has co-developed many train-the- trainer and Crisis Management Simulation-based workshops nationally and internationally. She is the developer and director of the undergraduate "patient safety" Module at the college of Medicine at KAU. She is also a member of the Steering committee of the international Clinician Educators' network ICENet of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Dr. Mohammed Al Sultan

Dr.Mohammed Al-Sultan is an MBBS graduate of King Saud University 1997, FRCPC in emergency medicine and FRCPC in critical care medicine 2004, and master degree in Medical Education 2009. For the time being, Dr. Al-Sultan is practicing in both fields the Emergency Medicine and the Critical Care Medicine at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh, and he is appointed as the Dean of Admission and Registrations at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences Moreover, he is appointed as an Associate Professor college of medicine. In medical education field, Dr. Alsultan is considered as one of the pioneer in the whole kingdom, and he is working at the Saudi commission for health specialties as a medical education consultant. He also worked as a part time consultant in many governmental and private educational universities. Dr. Al-Sultan has several publications and researches in many international and local scientific journals along with several prizes as a distinguished trainee and many best tutors and the teacher of the year awards. Last but not least, Dr. Alsultan appointed as the chair of central Accreditation committee at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) and also the Medical Education Consultant for the commission.
